Root Canals

Root Canal Therapy is a dental procedure to remove an infected nerve from inside the canal in the root of your tooth. Root Canal Therapy is necessary because the infection in the tissue will spread to the bone around the tooth, making it no longer able to hold the tooth in place. The goal of the root canal is to save the tooth, and with today's modern dentistry, the majority of root canals are successful and the tooth is saved.

Signs of Root Canal Therapy:

  • Severe tooth pain
  • Pain when chewing
  • Sensitivity to hot, cold, and when consuming sweets
  • Head and ears may hurt
  • Swelling and tenderness around the tooth
  • Tooth pain is constant

Why do you need Root Canal Therapy:

  • The tooth will not heal without treatment
  • The tooth may fall out
  • Infection could spread
  • Irreversible damage to the living tissue inside the tooth (the pulp)
  • Tooth is injured or damaged
